Academic Courses Dual Credit

Academic Courses at Ranger College

Dual credit offers high school students an opportunity to earn college credit while completing high school graduation requirements at the same time.

Academic dual credit courses are primarily designed to transfer to two- or four-year institutions. These courses are core curriculum and generally required to complete a traditional baccalaureate degree. Popular courses include College Algebra, US History, Speech, Art Appreciation, English, British and American Literature.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will graduate with an associate’s degree. This generally occurs a few weeks before they receive their high school diploma.

Ranger College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Ranger College faculty hiring credentials are the same as four-year universities and core courses generally transfer to most institutions.
